Support assisted me to reinstall the mac OS 5 days ago and I’m still having issues. The 11/20/18 etrecheck report showed performance as poor, a ‘failing hard drive’ that is an older ‘mechanical’ type drive
I’m having the same performance and frequent crashes as before
Today when I ran Apple Disk Utility/FirstAid the mac freezes and I have to do a manual power off before I can restart. Same as last week. Each time I start up or restart, the screen shows the apple logo and progress bar for 1 - 2 minutes, I enter the password and in another 1 - 2 minutes I’m able to open folders and applications.
Current Malwarebytes shows no evil software
Today’s etrecheck report doesn’t flag the hard drive but the mac still really bogs down.
