Gray photos in camera roll

Hi, I have an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.2

I recently took some photos last night but it did not play out so well.

I took the photos just fine, but when I tried to view them, my phone crashed and restarted (went black, showed the spinning wheel, then went immediately to my lockscreen). My camera roll started "refreshing" as well, wherein it would say that I had no photos or videos at first, and then gradually reloaded all my photos.

After that, all the photos I took were completely grey.

Some of them actually appeared before my phone crashed. After that, they also turned grey.

This has happened before a few weeks ago, but in a more intermittent way.

I do not have any iCloud backup, so those fixes won't work on me.

I've tried creating an iTunes backup and using a third-party application to view the backup, but the photos appear grey as well.

If my device is corrupted, would a restore also restore these grey photos?

Help is very much appreciated.
