Scams/Phishing

Hello all,


I have never seen this type of potential scam on my MacBook before, and I have owned it for 5-6 years now.


Wanted to ask the community on their expertise as to whether this is a scam. I definitely am not clicking on OK here, and am running an Avast virus scan on my computer, but receiving assurance that this is a scam would put my mind more at ease.

Yes, any such pop up will be a scam. Force quit Safari, then restart Safari while holding the shift key. Avoid sites that are involved in such bogus advertising.
