Mojave clean install using APFS

Hello,

I’ve just erased my mac to do a clean install of mojave and when I try to format using APFS, I can’t see the option on the drop down menu. I see only the usual suspects like Fat and mac journaled.

It’s a 2017 iMac with 1TB fusion drive. I know that High Sierra didn’t support APFS on fusion drives but I heard that Mojave finally does.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

You don't need to format it as APFS. Format it as Mac OS Journaled and Mojave will convert the drive to APFS while installing.
