Appreciate your feedback. However toggling ON Assistive Touch shows the home button on the screen, which I dislike. So no option for me.

any release notes to support that? 12.2 only in Beta at the moment

I am having the same issues now. Seems like scrolling either on youtube or safari is hanging/unresponsive. I am dropping by the apple store tomorrow to have it checked. what seems to be the problem?

I believe that a non-glass, film protector may work. But I haven't tried one.

Yes. I have a Zagg Glass+ screen protector on it.

How cow, immediately everything feels as it should! Apple Pencil feels far better than it has in months also. Someone needs to bug Apple about this.

Can you explain how the case solved your touch problems.

I thought taking off my glass screen saver from my iPad Pro 11 solved my problem. NOT! After two moths the unresponsiveness has risen its ugly head again.

I'm installing right now to check, but restarting has fixed it temporarily before, so I'm not very confident that the update actually fixes anything...

I installed iOS 12.2 also and so far it is working great! I hope it continues.

Do you have a glass screen protector on that iPad?

I tried this. It did not work for me. Still having touch unresponsive issues.
