It functions fine otherwise, plays music, tells me the time, tells me the weather, tells jokes, etc. When I ask it to set a 10 minute timer (or any other time) it says "One Moment".... then comes back with "Uh Oh, something went wrong" Any ideas what is going on?

Power cycle your router and your HomePod. If it the problem persists Reset the HomePod - Apple Support.
