Wall charger not charging iPhone

My wall charger was working, I plugged the usb cable into my computer, synced up, charged a while, then went back to the wall charger, and it isn't charging.

Tried resetting....wall charger is not hot or anything...all cables are secure....

iPhone still charges when attached to the computer.

I am having similar problems with AC Adapter like all of you. Here's what leads me to believe that it's a faulty wall adapter.

First couple of times charges normally. Moved the adapter from one to another it stopped working. At this point, I checked ALL my wall outlets with different devices to make sure the outlets worked.

I tried using different USB cables. Still didn't charge my phone.

I tried changing the removable prongs part of the adapter and swapped with my old iPod firewire wall charger. Still didn't charge my phone.

Took it to the Apple store. Worked fine there.

Come back home, works fine for 1 day.

After battery drains out completely, I try charging again and doesn't charge.

I really feel Apple needs to sort the Wall Adapter issue out, I can't keep going to the Apple Store. Although, it seems i might have to do that tomorrow.

Hmmmm....I just took mine back to the Apple Store yesterday. Same issue...used it to sync on my MBP and afterwards would not work on ANY electrical outlet. Like magic it worked @ the Apple Store. I did insist that they mark my receipt for an extended return in the event that I had additional problems with it.

Okay, Apple....you know that people will have to pay an additional $30 to replace the one that is in the box...this needs to be addressed and corrected. Hmmm...the milk is starting to smell sour!

Mine worked fine for the first 3.5 weeks, and then a few days ago just stopped charging. No connection sound when plugged in, no indication of charging.
I assumed it to be dead, so I replaced it with my iPod power adapter (same model) that's about a year old, and it's been working fine so far.
My iPhone also exhibits no charging problems when connected to my PowerBook.
I was planning to take the original adapter back to the Apple store for an exchange, but after reading the thread at Macrumors ( http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=333933) decided to try it again today. Right now it's working fine, but I'll see how it's doing in the morning.

Well, it seems to be very well documented that there is definately a problem with the charger. My story is strange though. I brought my included iPhone charger to work with me today and plugged it in and it did not work, I also have a 3rd party charger here at work I use for my iPod and that didn't work either (it has firewire and usb, I use it with a firewire cord)... I panicked and went to my car to see if the car charger would work. It worked fine. I came back to my desk and the 3rd party charger finally worked (with the firewire cord) I unplugged the usb cord from the apple brick and plugged it into the usb side of the 3rd party charger and it still doesn't work... this is a mystery to me.

I'm surprised no-one has sat down with these "bricks" or wall-warts with a VOM and tried to troubleshoot one of these things. This is a known issue with Ipod charger/power supply too?? It sounds like there is an intermittent connection or make/break kind of thing. It may be that the contracter isn't spec'ing the components right i.e. running the bare edge of suitability for a given application aka "bean counters", too. When I plonk down my money though, I don't want surprises with the power supply.
