Unable to pair with Bluetooth a Nokia N73 mobile phone

It's unable to pair via bluetooth a Nokia N73 mobile phone with the latest firmware installed.

Bluetooth Assistant of Leopard only detects on it only one feature: just to connect to internet.

iSync can't work with this mobile phone also.

This pone was supported on Mac OS X 10.4.9 and 10.4.10, so... it seems that is a problem with the Bluetooth frameworks on Leopard.

Anyone has experienced anything like this?

I've just upgrade Leopard to 10.5.2 but the problem still remain! I'm using a N73 with latest firmware (4.0735.3.0.2).

I hope that Nokia can release an upgrade of the firmware very soon.

Yes, I can confirm that the 10.5.2 update does nothing at this point. I have also contacted Novamedia plugins to know if they can do something Apple and/or Nokia don't. They already answer me. I will keep you all informed.

Following on the same topic. I tried some solutions that gently Novamedia provided me, but without lack. I am sorry. We are at the same point as before, depending on what Nokia and/or Apple wish to do with that.

So now there is a clearly identified problem on both Nokia and Apple discussion boards experienced by many, WHO is actually going to do anything about?

Or to put it another way HOW do we get them to do something about it?

Today, just for fun, I tried to connect my N73 with firmware 4.0735.3.0.2 to an old iMac G5 under Tiger 10.4.11 . I could browse all the phone's contents and transfer all my photos over bluetooth ! The same thing doesn't work with my MacBook under Leopard 10.5.2 as we all know ... Conclusion ?

I think the answer is either buy a windows machine or buy a Nokia N82!

Luckily for me I upgraded to an N82 anyway and my brother (who I gave the N73 to) uses USB to sync on his MB Pro.

Its a shame, but if you look at all the threads it really points to Nokia being at fault, not Apple.

I've some troubles with N73 and Leo.
But I haven't such problems for N73 and Tiger or for Leo with SonyEricsson K750.
Only for N73 and Leo.

To All: are you have these troubles with Leopard/N73 when upgraded from Tiger, or for clean install too?
I've upgraded Leo from Tiger, and have a small suspicion.

It's the latest Nokia firmware (4.xx) which causes the problem. My N73 worked well with Leopard over BT until I upgraded it.

I understand. But I did upgrade from Tiger to Leo, and N73 on Tiger worked with the latest firmware . Also are you upgraded to Leo from Tiger too? Or are you used a clean install?

I'm a new Mac user and my first Mac was shipped with Leopard, so this is a clean Leopard install. According to my and other’s experiences, this is a problem that occurs exclusively to the combination Leopard and N73 v. 4.xx.

I guess it isn't Nokia's highest priority to fix this problem. **** Finns!

I'm going crazy!!!
I have updated my N73 with new firmware and now it doesn't work with bluetooth!!!
And I have no chance to roll back to previous firmware!!!
So Apple and Nokia fix this problem as soon as possible: The N73 is one of the most selled phone!!!
Thousand of people are waiting for a fix!!!
