Ssd erase and partition fail

I’m trying to erase my new Samsung Evo 860 ssd so i can Install os x El Capitan on it. Everytime i press Erase on disk utility, it comes back with operation failed.

I put OS X extended (journaled) and GUID partition map.

Macbook Pro mid 2012 running Mojave can't seem to erase Samsung or Crucial SSDs So I'm trying to update my old MBP to an SSD and while the SSDs are in fact compatible, I can't seem to erase them to format them to my device. The SSDs all say the same thing in Disk Utility: Partition Map = Not Supported When I try to run First Aid, it seems to work, though very quickly. When I try to run Erase, I get the following error message in the details: Couldn't open the device. Operation failed. It does this with both the Samsung SSD and the Crucial SSD that I've tried. Erasing "APPLE SSD APO256Q Media" (disk0) and creating Couldn't open device : (-69877) I tried to erase and reinstall OS in recovery and mistakenly deleted Macintosh HD. Now what I have in internal is APPLE SSD APO256Q media in disk utility and I can't see any disk to install macOS Monterey into while trying to reinstall OS. Also I can't erase/format/(rename(to Macintosh HD) the APPLE SSD using recovery via disk utility. Barely started using this MacBook pro so losing data isn't a thing for me. Any help will do pleaseee

Corrupted internal MBP SSD won't erase Unable to write to last block of the device I believe I corrupted my internal SSD hard drive last night when I used up all it’s free space. I have a 2015 MBP with Mojave. I’ve been since trying to erase the drive but to no avail. It tells me it’s unable to write to the last block of the device/couldn’t unmounted disk (shows me different messages different times, not sure what I did to change it) I’ve been reading threads all day and this seems like it might be the same problem (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251194289) but it seems like APFS is not an option: What can I try to erase the drive so I can install a clean copy of the OS? Thank you!!! This has been extremely stressful for me.

I see from your post that you're having trouble erasing a disk on your Mac, and when you try to, you receive an error.

If you haven't done so already, take a look at this article called How to erase a disk for Mac and carefully follow all the steps provided.

If you are are still having trouble after following these steps, I recommend that you contact Apple Support for further assistance.
