my macbook is connected to my sisters phone even though i am on a different apple id

When I text my mom on my Macbook air, it comes up as if my sister was texting her under her phone number, when I was really texting her through my email. We are set up on different iclouds and i have tried everything to make sure we are not connected through facetime or messages and it has not worked.

iMessage’s sending to myself Hello there! My sister and I share the same apple account and we currently have four devices all connected to iMessage. For some time now, every time that I text my sister, my messages just send to myself and she doesn’t get them even though I will put in a different number or contact. For example: I will type in her number on my phone to text and after I send the message, the number will change to my personal number and the message will just send to myself. I’ve gone onto all of our devices currently in use and made sure that only our personal numbers were checked for our own devices rather than having our emails checked. I’ve also tried double checking our contacts. On top of that, sometimes when other people try to call/text me, it will go to my sister and I won’t receive anything or visa versa. Any solutions would help! I’m not quite sure what to do about this.

Suddenly, one iPhone user can only text my iPad while everyone else reaches my phone My wife and my sisters both use iPhone and iPad. I have an android phone. They had to jump through some hoops, but could both successfully text my on my android phone. I recently acquired my first apple product: an iPad. It supposedly (according to the carrier) has its own separate phone number, but I cannot seem to configure that number anywhere on it. At one point, my wife added it to my contact entry on her iPhone. Suddenly, this week, all of her text messages are going to my iPad and not my android phone. Texts from my sister (also iPhone/iPad user, mind you) still go to my android phone. Only my wife's messages go to my iPad. I had her remove that new phone number from my iPad to no avail. My iPad shows only my Apple ID under both iMessage and FaceTime. Thoughts? This must be something in her configuration, but what?

Have you checked your contact card to make sure none of her information is there?

If you log in below, does the phone number show there?
