I really enjoy my listening to HiFi audio on my dac, but recently after I updated to 10.14.2 I have never been able to get the mabook to recognize My Dac and amp set up. It's so frustrating when you can use something you paid for just because apple overlooked it. Thanks ahead for any advice.

Hmmm. It still has to have firmware. FWIW, they're not the best DACs in the world but my Audio Quest DragonFly Red and my Beyer Dynamic A100 USB DAC work in Mojave. I know some DACs do not.
Try resetting the SMC.

If you cold provide more information in your question, it would be easier to help you and not guess so much.
Since Mojave enforces new power management on the USB
1-A solution could to buy a $10-20 externally powered USB 2.0 hub and insert it between your computer and your DAC
2-You may be able to eliminate it by disabling port power management. Maybe:
3- Check if Mojave is blocking the device in Security and Privacy

FWIW, there are hundreds of thousands of products for Macs. It's up to each vendor to make sure their product works with upgrades. Not the other way around.
I've contacted them, their product is plug and play, no software is needed so they can't help me.
The problem is that almost ever DAC I've looked at has this issue, this seems more like its an issue with the software update.
It would make sense if this was the only DAC that didn't work, but would every dac stop being capable after this update?

It isn't showing up on the security section. This dac used to be plug and play just like inserting your headphones.
It never needed any software.
My schiit dac Modi 2 isn't showing up on my macbook ever since the macOS Mojave 10.14.2 update.
