Closing Apps

How do I close open apps on the iPad Pro? I believe there is a swipe function but can’t figure it out.

From bottom of screen, swipe up to close apps. To close all apps, swipe up from bottom of screen, pause in middle. All open appears, flick up on apps to kill them.
