USB Superdrive does not copy across all Music tracks on CD to iTunes

On a number of occasions when I insert a music CD in the superdrive it copies across just over half of the tracks on the CD to iTunes (or misses out the last few on the disk). A message pops up "error occurred while converting the file 'title of the CD'. The required disc cannot be found."

(I am quite sure that the problem is not the CDs as they are new Music CDs that have not previously been played - straight out of their packets - and were bought from reputable music stores. As it has happened with a number of different CDs, it surely can't be the CDs. Strangely, for other CDs, the superdrive copies across all of tracks no problem to iTunes. The software on my iMac is up to date. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks in advance. John

This may or may not help. Open iTunes, Go to iTunes Preferences/ General/ Import Settings. Check "Use error correction when reading audio CDs".
