How to share files directly from Google Drive folder in Finder?

Hi,

I would like to be able to share files directly from Google Drive in Finder on my Mac rather than having to use Google Drive in my web browser to share files.

Currently, when I right click to share a file from Finder, there is no option to use Google Drive. I have enabled the extension for Backup and Sync from Google in settings, but this has not made a difference.

Using Mojave 10.14.2 and Backup and Sync 3.43.2448.9071

Hopefully someone can help, as I haven't been able to find the answer in any other Mac forums or in any other Google forums!

Hi,

See below screenshots:

1- Google Drive as an app no longer exists- Backup and Sync has replaced this, so there's no longer the option to add Google Drive as an extension. I've added Backup and Sync, but this has not helped- still no option to share.

2- The last post on the thread below states that this function no longer works in Mac OS Mojave- which is exactly the experience that I'm having. I cannot find any other threads or posts online that address this topic, that are written in the latter half of 2018.
