What map service does Find My iPhone use?

A couple years ago, it was showing a new school in the satellite imagery but now the school is no longer showing up. It's just an empty field. Did they change maps?

Find my parked car in Maps iOS16 Since I upgraded to iOS 16 I cannot find my parked car in maps. My iPhone is connected to the bluetooth of my car. I checked that location services is on in Settings ==> Privacy and security I activated Significant Locations in System Services. Despite this, the option Show Parked Location does not appear in Maps settings. I feel I am in a dead end, is there a solution? Thanks Giorgio

Apple maps starts with a specific wrong location - through upgrades, location services on/off/on I'm concerned why Apple maps very often shows my location as one specific location - not where I am. When getting directions it thinks I'm starting out from that one specific place. I have lost a device at that specific location before, but I enabled erase for that device. Why would maps always start from that specific incorrect location. This has been going on through device upgrades. Turning location settings on/off/on. Might there be something nefarious going on? iPhone 11.

Weird. When I look at the Find my iPhone map online, the school is there. But it's an empty field on my when I use the app on my iPhone.

Head to iCloud.com, open Find My iPhone and you can find the sources Apple is using in the bottom right corner.
