iPhone detects USB but doesn't charge.

Alright keeping it short, I have an iPhone 6 one day it just stopped charging properly and my computer stopped recognizing it, beside that when I plug it in, it doesn't show any indication of it charging but it is charging very very slowly we are talking like 1% every hour. but when I shut the phone off (& force restart it) and plug the charger in, it doesn't work. When the phone completely dies (0% no juice left in it) and I plug it in and charge, it works green lights and everything and its normal, but when I unlock the phone it stops charging. thats how I knew my port wasn't fried I don't know whats going on can't see an apple retailer at the moment any ideas?

Did the issue start after an update? Are you using a third party lightning to USB cable?

I had something similar happen with 3rd party cables after I updated my phone. I bought a few cheap cables and they were working just fine. Then I updated my phone and it seems that the phone software rejected the cable. Apple told me that the cable wasn’t following their security standards but it was working just fine before I updated. All third party cables I bought stopped working symultaniously.

Perhaps an Apple branded cable will charge your phone properly.

It was working before not properly though, I have no idea if it started happening before the update or not because I was already on IOS 12 and it was fine, I had an apple branded charger that came with my phone but it got destroyed for some reason the wires started showing and the plastic just peeled off.

Yes I am using a third party charger right now with apples security standards that MFI or whatever.

I could film what happened and send the video to you guys its super weird.
