Spectrum WiFi profile STILL invasively connects to networks even after deleting profile and app

Following up on this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8586249, I am still experiencing the exact same issue described there.

I allowed Spectrum a profile on my iPhone, then removed the profile after I found out their WiFi was slow and useless. I still get constant, annoying, invasive pop ups saying that my Spectrum password is invalid. Again, I deleted the profile, clicked “forget network”, disabled “Auto-join”.. I even reset my phone to factory default, yet it still tries to connect as if this was a “known network”.

Honestly it feels like Spectrum has hacked my phone and is abusing some sort of profile loophole that Apple has not addressed since that last post in October. Please do something about this!!

iPhone XS Max, 12
