Split Screen on iPad Pro IOS 12 Isn't Working

I have tried all the fixes I could find online to get this to work. It actually worked once, and after closing it, I’ve never gotten it to work again. I have...

  • toggled “allow multiple apps” in Settings
  • done a hard restart
  • reset to factory settings and rebooted


I can swipe up to see the dock. But, when I try to drag an app from the dock, it just disappears instead of opening a new window. I’ve attempted solutions on multiple forums, and nothing has worked. I could really use this feature, and it not being available is slowing down my workflow considerably.


Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
