Split Screen on iPad Pro IOS 12 Isn't Working

I have tried all the fixes I could find online to get this to work. It actually worked once, and after closing it, I’ve never gotten it to work again. I have...

toggled “allow multiple apps” in Settings
done a hard restart
reset to factory settings and rebooted

I can swipe up to see the dock. But, when I try to drag an app from the dock, it just disappears instead of opening a new window. I’ve attempted solutions on multiple forums, and nothing has worked. I could really use this feature, and it not being available is slowing down my workflow considerably.

Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

At this point, I think it’s time to bring your iPad Pro into your nearest, “local” Apple Store for diagnosis, evaluation and potential options.

In the Settings app, under General, Reset, try a Reset All Settings.

When you do this you will need to re-setup all of your different WiFi and other network settings on your iPad.

What about backin up the data on your iPad and deleting and reinstalling the Pages and Procreate apps from the iOS App Store, again?

Yes, as I mentioned, the split-screen worked initially. When I tried to open the same apps again, it never worked again. I've also tried it on multiple apps that I know support split-screen. The apps in question are Procreate and Pages (which, again, I know support this).

That's A possibility, but since NO apps work in split-screen, my hunch is that that isn't going to solve my problem. I've tried a ton of apps, ones that I know should work and multiple combinations of apps, and none do.
