Dictation in other applications - I tried TextEdit and Mail - seems to work fine.

No I have been using chrome when I really need to dictate. As you know, duplicates dont happen on iphone.

Turning repeat key off did not work for me.

I have the same doubling dictation problem. I have discussed it with several Apple technicians. There is no fix at this time.

Apple can not fix this. You must use Firefox to dictate

Very disappointing that there's no fix for this. I have just opted for deleting after dictating.

I hope you get an answer to this - I, too, am having this problem, and being able to dictate my work would be *exceptionally* helpful to my efficiency (or so I think...haven't really had a chance to try bc of this VERY ANNOYING ISSUE)

As you note, I'm seeing this in Safari, specifically dictating email in Gmail web UI. I get whole sentences or sometimes just freezes duplicated.I get whole sentences or sometimes just freezes duplicated. <-- Oh, and here too! Oddly I've seen a similar problem occasionally in Spark mail app for iOS, but that somehow resolves itself after a few days. <sigh>

Did you ever find an answer for this? I have to put notes on my work phone and then put the same notes in here, so it's just easier to have it all dictated, but THIS turns into quite the mess when it is duplicating itself.
