Gray boxes in iTunes store - Windows

When I launch iTunes under a particular user logon on a Windows PC, I see grey boxes in the store where the cover art would be. This does not occur on another user logon on that same PC. So ... I assume this is a user specific / profile issue. Any idea how to get the pictures to load under this user logon?

Windows, Windows 10

Don't get me wrong i'm glad the OP is satisfied with the other user "solutions", and although i know perfectly this is not my thread i want to mention those are not solutions but "patches" the issue here is Apple and it is Apple the one that should fix this, things were fine before May.

This issue is not new it has happened many times over and over again in the past:

Event the communities forums are a mess right now, they're modifying stuff and they are pretty slow.

Guess i'm gonna open my own thread this is still definitely "Not" fixed.

I am having the same issue, the gray album covers only in the store area. I have done everything apple has advised me and nothing is working. Then they told me it was my computer and that I had to change the resolution on my computer which in turn made the type so small I couldnt see anything else. This is frustrating. I have wasted so many hours on this issue. Apple needs to FIX this!!

hm_n_mn, did you try going to settings and ease of access, make text bigger, drag the slider to the size you want and click apply, I did this and the album art work was showing ok and I had an update to iTunes after I did it and the album artwork was still showing ok. try what is typed below also

DISPLAY on monitor,, text, apps and other items is set higher than the recommended 100% so grey boxes appear on iTunes store if set to 125% and above

yes it worked, indeed, just as you said, thank you.

the problem now is with my eyesight being what it is, I had the display setting set for 125% so I can see things easy.

I still can see things but its very tiny, very difficult read.

where's this leave me? hmmm......

what is going on anyway, is this whole issue have something to do with Apple seperating the store - the music and apps and getting rid of Itunes as we know it?

No, it is a repeat of a previous problem in which iTunes doesn't interact well with some graphics optimization code in Windows. Changing the compatibility settings as mentioned in the solution posted at the top of the thread ought to allow you to fix while making fonts and icons a more reasonable size.

The somewhat exaggerated death of iTunes (it is splitting into three separate apps) is only taking place in macOS 10.15 Catalina for now.

now that you have put your display back to 100% as recommended, go to settings and ease of access, make text bigger, drag the slider to the size you want (125%) and click apply, this is just under the word display, it makes the text bigger on your computer but not on the taskbar and it doesn't interfere with the album artwork in iTunes.

I am running iTunes on Windows 7. I tried the fix with the iTunes.exe and setting the DPI etc but nothing I changed under the file Properties changed the display. There was only the option: Disable display scaling on High DPI settings. I even tried to run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Nothing.

I ended up changing the display settings to 100% which is a bit too small for my liking but now I can see the artwork for the movies. I hope they fix this asap.

Specifically: Change display settings, Make text and other items larger or smaller, Smaller - 100% default

"Change High DPI Settings" to System(Enhanced) works, but I found I had to use "Change For All Users". If I just Applied or clicked OK the setting had no effect, if I used Change for All Users the setting worked.

I run as a Normal User, my guess is iTunes has to use a higher privilege system user account for some things, and the setting weren't in effect for it.
