#images not working in text function

I am unable to send an image from my iPhone XS Max. When I go to the text function and touch the red #images button on my phone, it gives me a message that says “can’t load images.” I used to be able to load an image and send them, but it just stopped working. I checked to see if it was my home internet giving me an issue and even tried via cellular, but it still won’t load. Then I figured maybe it was my iPhone needing to be updated, so I did that, but still NOT working, please someone help!!

Hi LyndseyLou01,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with #images in Messages. I’m happy to help. To start, I suggest making sure that cellular data is enabled for “hashtagimages” under Settings > Cellular.

If it is, I suggest signing out of, and then back into iMessage. You can sign out by tapping Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > [Apple ID] > Sign Out. Then, disable iMessage and restart your iPhone before signing back in.

Jameson.h - Thank you for replying back, I checked the cellular settings first and the hashtag function was enabled, so then I tried the other suggestion, but it still doesn’t work. I haven’t backed up my iPhone lately, so I’m going to try that and then what you suggested and see if that helps. Thank you!
