AMD-Action:downloadProduct:

I've been trying to upgrade Sierra or High Sierra. The App Store keeps halting the download and giving a message "AMD-Action:downloadproduct:SP". (currently running El Cap 10.11.6 on a Mid 2010 iMac). I have tried macOS recovery and safe mode to no avail.

Thanks, Paul

Work around for me...

Download something else (free, I chose Slack) from the app store, this forces a login and verification I wasn't receiving. As that was downloading installing, I used this (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/macos-sierra/id1127487414?ls=1&mt=12) and it allowed me to download.

I know it's screwy, but I hope it works as easily as it did for me.

Tried all.... Both links, new admin account, shared folder and encapsulated folders permissions, ethernet reset so the BSD reads en0 (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/el-cap-app-store-failing-to-login.173653/) nothing.

Any other thoughts?

Feel this is just another one of those things that will never have a fix, leaving me stranded...purposely. I can't upgrade to Mojave on my 12,2 iMac, so I'm forced to either obtain this download from *cough cough* elsewhere... or not upgrade any one of the subscription based models I'm paying for. (Because I like updates...) **** Apple.
