Security Update 2019-003 10.13.6 failing at shutdown

Oh yes... did that... as an ancient reflex... since 1990...

But that didn't work...

It shuts down... LED goes off... seems to be shut down... but awakens in a few secs

Nope... refuses to reset SMC!

3x PRAM didn't do the trick... repeated... nope...

Shuts down... secs... restarts... like my Dachshund while the ball peeps...

Will do some reboting later... check the safe mode shut downs

Have to get my deadlines... I'll keep posting until solved...

I have not checked that option. But have Power Nap checked and network entrance (run a Dutch version)

Those things I have taken care of... probably deeper in the system? A pref file in the system library?

But I am not much of a UNIX programmer at all...

I found in the library/preferences this file:

com.apple.PowerManagement.63E1949B-163F-5B43-A844-3A356713611B.plist

In system library as in user library

But not in the file "SystemConfiguration"

as hhttps://www.dssw.co.uk/reference/pmset.html

states...

All changes made through pmset are saved in a persistent preferences file (per-system, not per-user) at /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

Scheduled power on/off events are stored separately in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.AutoWake.plist

Both not there...

Quick and on the fly...

This last part misses: /Library/Preferences/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

Misses too: /Users/YourUserName/Library/Containers/com.apple.lateragent/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

Can't find at all, where I have to look?: /Applications/TechTool Pro 11.app/Contents/Resources/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

All disconnecteded... it starts up... even without screens...

The .plist stripting misses... we checked that a few steps ago... and it does not write itself.

And I dare not to make fake .plist files in the systems library's in the hope...

This script does something more than helping instal 003... :-(

Makes the Mac Pro not able to shut down via OS!

It erases the .plist fils that makes it happen!

Is a no go!!!!!

Time to start for a new subjet about this way of updating.

A new OS system update could fix it.

Safe mode does not help. Shut down... restarts...

Unplug... or 5 secs holding on/off does not help...

Update 003 did something... or the scrips that I ran to get the update 003 done
