Certified Cables

Apple states that only Apple makes certified USB-C to Lightning cables but I am seeing a number of manufactures who advertise Mfi certified cables. UGreen, Anker, etc I don't know about UGreen but Anker seems pretty trustworthy.

Are those vendors licensed or is the Apple statement just not updated?

It’s quite common for Apple not to list every legitimate product that supports an Apple device on their website. For example, I use an Apple Watch band that falls into this class.


So I suspect the article you referenced in your original post is simply not updated.
