I'm sure there are some people who are. I'm not. Use your iPhone for 72 hours then check Settings > Battery and see what processes/apps are using most of your battery. And check your battery health while you are there.
level 9, it’s been updated to 12.4.1. My other phone died cuz been updated to 12.3.1. Do you know how upset I’m? And you call that threat? Hey! Mind you tongue. I have done all the troubleshoot that even the genius in the genius bar and the adviser over the phone call me a tech person. I have done far more experiments than all you guys. Experiments that I have done it’s far more than your level 9 knowledge! I have been talking to the adviser every day to monitor my phone and the experiments that I do. And as I expected there is no progress at all. I just simply want to downgrade my phone to 12.3.1 and that’s it. My battery is completely new. It’s only drainage since updated 12.3.1. If you have not have this problem, please. Dun step in.
I have just talking to the advisor based in Australia today. He told me this forum is monitored by third-party. So most likely Apple will not see these messages ....... I had filed a complaint cuz there was a racism speech by a level 10 guy.
what You are suggesting is very Apple way of saying. I’m sure everyone has done this. As my previous messages, I have done a lot of experiment with my phone and following up by the adviser, still, the result is nul.. if you could provide some more test or experiment for me to test my phone. I would be happy to hear it. But I’m pretty sure what you are suggesting would be sth I had done in the past...
I was keeping up on this discussion with my daily progress since the issue until these level 9 and 10 peeps stepped into do nothing but defend Apple no matter what we say and that’s the moment I’ve quit posting out here.

Totally, absolutely FALSE. I have met with some of the hosts who monitor the forum. They are all Apple employees based in Austin, Texas. I've even got a photo of the team, which I'm not allowed to share under my NDA. However, the only job of the hosts is to maintain decorum and the terms of use. Nothing posted here gets to Apple's engineering teams.
Regardless if it's only my phone, the problem started literally right after this update. All the troubleshooting and numerous setting changes I made, made it slightly more bearable but it made it also just slightly better than a Nokia 6210 phone...
I have urged my colleague to make the newest update available in our managed environment. Should have been done 2 weeks ago already. Not getting my hopes up though that it will fix this software battery issue. If all similar complaints would have been only on this site, it probably would have added up quite nicely. Maybe you're right and most are lucky, until another update bites them. Have not had this happen on any of my Android phones. Just saying. Thanks for the help though.

I've not had this happen on any of my iPhones, iPads or iPods in 12 years. Just saying. But I have had associates with Android phone who have had it happen with their phones. It's a problem that is very rare, but can happen with any device.
If it helps anyone, since I updated to 12.4, the battery drain problem is now solved. This issue was not specifically addressed in the update, but it seems that it HAS solved the problem on my iPhone 8.
Thanks, that sounds hopeful. (So much for this not being a software/ios issue)
I hope to get there sooner rather than later and will get back with my results here, hopefully with the "Nokia 6210" restored to full iPhone capability by then. :-)
deggie says "Your reading skills seem to be very poor or it could be your memory."
And here we have a perfect example of a level 10 mod insulting and berating a user, which is against the code of conduct, yet his/her post wont get immediately deleted as would every other similar post made by someone like myself.
It's nice to know Apple associates are allowed to and encouraged to treat their customers like garbage.

Thank you for proving my point, and showing my comment was far from an insult, just a statement of fact. I am not a "mod" here just like Lawrence is not a "mod" here. So was it that you could understand that when I wrote it in the other post or you forgot already?
After the battery drain following the update I started to use my 4 year old Wiko for €80.00 again.
iphone now only used for the most important work applications. Otherwise in the bag and power turned entirely off.
My iPhone 10 won’t even last half a day on a charge I used to go a day and a half before this patch is awful. I can’t load websites either screen freezes also I had to reboot my phone 2 times this week. Just now!!! My phone pop’s up battery low!!
Hello Sandeep1995 - Is the battery drain issue with your iPhone XR fixed? I have the same model as yours and I am still having the issue even after upgrading to the latest iOS 13.1.2. Just wondering if you managed to get the issue fixed.
Same is the case with me. Tried all the possible solutions in the last 2 months including visiting Apple service center as my handset still under warranty but no luck so far. I was hopeful of finding some solution through this forum but looks like even that is remote now. All I can do now is to wait and hope that Apple will do something to fix the issue in the future releases.
