what You are suggesting is very Apple way of saying. I’m sure everyone has done this. As my previous messages, I have done a lot of experiment with my phone and following up by the adviser, still, the result is nul.. if you could provide some more test or experiment for me to test my phone. I would be happy to hear it. But I’m pretty sure what you are suggesting would be sth I had done in the past...

OK, here's a very simple test. Restore your phone to factory settings and do not restore a backup. Do not add any features, do not log in to your Apple ID or iCloud, and don't create any email accounts. The check your battery performance. If the problem is still present your phone has a hardware problem. Here are the instructions for restoring to factory settings-->Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

iPhone 7 and the 12.3.1 update killed my phone which just had the battery replaced prior to the update. Can't keep a charge and using bluetooth to stream music will kill the phone in an hour. Runs hot while in use and takes forever to charge now. Complete BS and Apple clearly doesn't do any sort of real life prerelease testing before pushing updates. I'm ready to say screw it and switch to another brand. Apple has more than enough money in the bank to afford proper development so this is inexcusable.

I'm not a part of any beta test program. Thankfully, I still have yet to install this update. My phone is an iPhone 6, and the battery seems to drain a bit faster than it did six months ago. I can only imagine how it would hold up if I installed 12.3.1. There really is no excuse for this, as we consumers bought and/or will buy Apple products because of the quality phones, tablets, etc. that Apple is known for. I will not install this software update until I see enough posts here saying the issue has been corrected.

Sorry but I have no idea specifically to which question at which point I've asked is you are referring to right now. And I'm gonna stand by my point and blame this at APPLE NO MATTER WHO SAYS WHAT !. Not every country or origin has Apple stores or genius bars and some take great care and save for a lot of time to buy their dream iPhone. When satisfactory is not met up to the cost and specifications of a product a customer is not gonna stay and be happy at all.

My battery was replaced 8 months ago and now I need a new battery. I also think this is due to the update IOS 12.3.1. I contacted Apple Support and they will not stand behind the battery that was replaced. They have a 90 day policy, but hey whose battery goes bad before 90 days. Just sayin. Poor customer service.

iPhone 6 Battery draining rapidly since 12.3 update. All locked screen + background apps have been switch off bar essential low app usage (phone, message etc). When is next update coming or will Apple release fix around. This is the same issue we had a few years back. I hope this is no a ply Apple are using to force us to purchase new phone when the one I have works perfectly, until recently - we’re all waiting a proper response, which involves acknowledging this battery issue - hello Apple

Is there anyone from Apple who is even reading these? Are they even concerned about their customers? I had 12.3.1 available in my phone (Iphone 8) for a month and I didn't update on purpose. 2 days ago my phone stopped charging beyond 58%.... somehow Apple forced me to update the software to charge my phone. I updated to 12.3.1 and got my phone to charge to a 100%, but to my dismay... since then have had major battery issues.

Not charging to 100%, battery draining even while I am sleeping with no cellular data, wi fi or anyhting else on (even at back-end). Now it would not charge over 45%... what the ****!!

A reply from Apple directly. First of all it’s not about my expectations on how the battery should behave. It’s about how the specifications say it should be. Everything I’ve done and went through is just again and again mentioned to follow and monitor there’s nothing new said by them. As I’ve said before on this discussion, many reigns and countries don’t have Apple stores or genius bars at all. And authorized salesman are clueless and confused when we present them with such issues. And for all of you with older devices, do not worry this has nothing to do with making just those devices useless since mine is a model which came out literally less than an year ago. I specially choose XR because of the battery life. Now I’m dreadfully watching the battery drop at doing nothing at all. And it’s been over a month now still with no fix or a proper update. Just finished my university degree on may and if I were to attend lectures the battery will be dead before I’d even make it back home. Highly disappointed and will never ever purchase an Apple product again.
