Update payment method

Hi, my current iTunes payment method has expired and I am trying to add a new one. When I try to add a new one, it does not allow me tg do so, stating that my current payment method required verification. When I try to delete the current one, it says that I cannot do so because I need at least one valid payment method as head of the family account. Any guidance on how to solve this issue?
