Newly restored Macbook pro asking for "name" and "enter password" when starting up.
The user name says "Other..."
And none of my usernames and passwords work.
Yes I have researched everything and an old thread had over 600 people asking the same question with no solution available.

What was the background for or the trigger for the reload? A hardware failure or a corruption of some sort?
Newly restored as in “wiped and loaded in a fresh copy of macOS”, or “loaded or migrated an old backup that might still have a corruption”?
Start again with High Sierra or Mojave, a d migrate in your apps and docs?
The Other option implies you have enabled the Root User. Do you know the password for the Root User?
