Merge folders

How do i merge two folders on OS X?

I can merge files ok, but that means i must go inside every one, select and merge.. but I don't get that option i just try and copy same folder..

I'm holding down OPTION key as i'm dragging so if it works for merging files, why not folders ? In this case. merging folder "Aminet 45" to existing folder in AminetCD dir, on the same USB drive.

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

ok, I think i found why i was getting over "Replace"

Your method works, but i was trying to "merge" to an empty folder with no files in..

Makes sense, you can only merge files to existing folder, or replace an empty folder with the one your copying (Option)

It would have been good to merge folders in two different location, even if one of them was empty.. but oh well.
