Constant Buffering

I am having a terrible time with buffering. It is not connected to any program on my computer that I can tell. It will just start buffering in the middle of something and go on and on. Sometime I have to just get up and go in the other room and check back later. For Example, when I decided to post this question because I wasn't finding any answer anywhere else, when this page opened up, it buffered for a full 5+ minutes before I was able to even post my question. I have plenty of memory, in fact 449.7 of 499.25 available. I know it isn't my wifi because my daughter has her computer right across the room from me and has no trouble at all. I hope someone can help me.

When you do, please do make a note of the exact model, tech specs, and MacOS and include that with any questions. It wastes both your and our time to keep asking for details which still have not been posted.

I have copied the report, but cannot seem to figure out how to post it on here. I tried the whole thing, but it won't let me send it because it has over 5000 characters. I am such an idiot when it comes to this computer. Any suggestions. I did copy the report and made it a pdf, but can't find a place to attach it to this message board.

I sent an email to EtreCheck and they sent me step by step instructions to post my report. I have to start a new question according to their instructions, so I will be doing that, under the same heading.

Okay. When I select the third icon from the right I get a window that says Additional Text. It asks me to add text and then says I need to add a title. Then I go to the body and paste the report. The report appears on the screen, but then, obviously, nothing happens on your end.

Do you then choose to click on "post"? Or what is it that you are doing after seeing the report? You need to tell the computer to send a command to publish your post which, at that point, includes the report.

Time Machine is backup software included with macOS that will backup your internal and external disk to an external disk your designate for backup.

You can only increase RAM on certain models - as I said, until we have more detailed information we can only guess. So, unless you finally tell us what you have or post the etrecheck report, I am out of this conversation.

Problem solved!! I ordered a new Mac and it will be here tomorrow. I had no idea how out of date this computer is - Thanks everyone for your help. I would never have known why my computer kept buffering all over the place until you answered my questions.
