macOS 10.14.6 update failure & update won’t shown in software update after failure

my MacBook Air (mid 2013) has recently failed to update to the latest 10.14.6 from the current 10.14.5 through software update in system preference. I’m currently trying to reinstall the macOS and try to update. If not, I have no choice but to download the combo update provided on the official Apple support website. Just want to report this kind of problem to see if there is someone facing the same problem as mind. Previously I even did the clean install for macOS 10.14.5.

Hi Evan, I got this support from the online No. 0800-107-6285. I was trying to download 10.14.6. The support assistant sent me the following link which I used from the web to download instead. This worked fine and I'm now updated to 10.14.6.

Same problem here, FileVault is turned off. Can’t complete any of the updates - combo, regular or supplemental. Also I can’t access my time capsule or dvd drive.

I also have this issue on my 2018 MBP 15.

FileVault has never been turned on.

I'm having the same problem. FileVault is OFF. Can't upgrade from 10.14.4. Tried multiple times and it keeps failing. iMac 2017

Evan, did you manage to get this resolved? I have the same problem, I can't get the download to complete for OS upadate to 10.14.6. My FileVault is also OFF.

Hi Clive, no I have not been able (yet to date) to update my Macbook Air or my iMac from 10.4.14

maybe you can directly download macOS update zip file and install from Apple offical website , instead of automatically receiving update notificaiton from macOS System

My Turn Off FileVault is sleeping, can't press even after open the lock with password.
