Library on Macbook

My itunes library on my MacBook is showing some of my songs in grey not black and I can’t play them on my Macbook - they’re purchased songs but some of the songs I’ve purchased are in black (able to be played).

Do you have either of the Apple Music or iTunes Match services?

Under iTunes > Preferences > General make sure that Show: List view checkboxes is ticked.

In the Songs view tick any songs that haven't been playing normally and see if they now show normally in your previous view and/or play when you try.

If that hasn't helped please post a screenshot of what you see as well as the answer to my question above.
