Apple Card Information - Account Services Unavailable

I applied for and was approved for the Apple Card. It's in my Wallet, I've used it and linked my bank account to it. I received the physical card and activated it.

Ever since I've had it, I've tried to go into the "Card Information" section of the Apple Card in my Wallet in order to get my card number and security code. Every time I try, I get a message stating "Account Services Unavailable - Apple Pay services are currently unavailable. Please try again later". No matter how often I try, I get the same message.

I've contacted Apple Support and they've opened a case. They've verified that I have all of the appropriate settings, iOS 12.4, etc. They seem to be having a hard time coming up with a solution.

Has anyone had this issue? Any solutions? Thanks!

Solution:

Remove the Apple card by going to the Settings>wallet>Apple card>Remove card

it will warn you that this may impact your ability to manage the account. But don’t worry Apple card is linked to you icloud account so you can re add it.

Re-adding the Apple card will solve the issue.

Consumer support by Goldman Sachs is abysmal.

I too applied for and received my titanium card....

It appeared in the Wallet on my iPhone

After couple of days and without ever using the Card, I looked at the Card in the Wallet and saw that it had been "restricted."

I contacted the number given in the wallet to correct the problem and I got to APPLE SUPPORT and explained the issue. They transferred me to Goldman Sachs apple card support when I again explained the issue. Goldman sent me back to you back to APPLE SUPPORT.

APPLE SUPPORT told me that the card issues must be solved by Goldman and sent me back to Goldman. The low level person at Goldman wanted to sen me back to APPLE SUPPORT. Ultimately I was bucked up two levels within Goldman where I was told that, yes there was a problem and others also had it. They told me that they would get back to me.

The colloquy went on for several hours and my wife thinks I am a masochist for trying to follow through. As this is in BETA, I thought I had some obligation to follow the tortuous trail to a resolution.

APPLE SUPPORT had been honest saying that they are technology folks and Goldman manages the Card issues. Apparently Goldman does not yet have sufficient experience in consumer finance issues to provide even minimal customer service.

The roll-out of the Apple Card by Goldman which has little or no consumer finance service experience is doomed until they figure it out.

American Express and commercial banks which have issued credit cards for sometime really do understand consumer service.

I have this exact same problem. I applied for and was approved for the Apple Card. It's in my Wallet, I've used it and linked my bank account to it. I received the physical card and activated it. I too am seeing the message "Account Services Unavailable - Apple Pay services are currently unavailable. Please try again later". Only difference is that I have an iPhone 6. I have tried all of the solutions offered for similar problems in other threads but I am still seeing that message. I have even completely reset my phone and started from scratch and reinstalled the Apple Card in my Wallet again but the message is still there.

No updates. I’m still in occasional contact with Apple Support but no solution yet. I’m hoping it gets resolved soon. I’m hoping we don’t need to wait for iOS 13......

A first-world problem, no doubt, but as a long-time Apple customer and self-acknowledged fan, I think that this is the first time I’ve been disappointed in the way Apple has executed on something.

I, too, have this problem. I have the card, have used it, the physical card is available and has been activate but I can't click on card information inside wallet and get the card number. I'm unable to change my services over to it or add it to my Mac because I can't get the card info. Very frustrating and I have also started a case with Apple. I've sent diagnostics, and opened a case but there is not resolution as of yet. I really just want to use the care for all iTunes, and all of my iCloud services and probably nothing more. We shall see what happens as my next support call from ACS is this coming Sunday.

Natedog101 and JRChapoy thank you both for your helpful posts. I had noticed the second version of Apple Card showing up in Wallet a couple of times but never thought to check for the number on the second card, I always just deleted it. It’s useful to know that I can get the card info while they are both in Wallet. It sure would be nice to have this fixed.

Here’s another crazy take. Called Apple Business a month ago. I asked for an invite (prior to full release). Got the invite 10 minutes later. Applied and got the Wallet Apple Card in 5 minutes. I was on iOSv12.4 at the time and I’m using an XSMax512. No problem finding my card info. That was never an issue. Charged the card online via Default Apple Pay to Apple Card. Even assigned Apple Cash to a Bank Account for Cash back. Got the physical card 4 days later. Used it without any issue. I have a pretty high September balance already. My August balance is due Sept 30. Pressed Pay Now. It asked if I wanted to use the same bank info as the Apple Cash. I said Yes. It Pre-fills the hidden data and syncs. Then presents me with the Account Services Unavailable popup. Same result putting in another Bank Account Routing and Acct#. Tried again over the past week daily even after rebooting, resetting, rescrubbing, removing, reinstating, rummaging, reaching, rallying, reporting, rationing, restoring, rambunctioning, reapplying, resorting, retuning, refurbishing, (I’m an Apple die hard so I continued to persevere), ranting, rating, reacting, redialing, rejuvenating, and retiring. I gave up in hopes Apple realizes that I can’t pay my card. Me? In a rush?! Nah!
