I bought some music from the iTunes Store a while back from a band called Jaques le Coque. Album is called Hooky. I noticed today that is wasn’t in my iTunes collection anymore. I went to the iTunes Store and it isn’t for sale anymore.
Whats up with that? Did apple just remove it from my library? Can they do that? How many more songs are they quietly stealing from me? If not, where is it???
Jacques le Coque shows one album for me in my region, only the newest one (2018).
Usually the availability of albums is a decision made by the artist or record label. They are free to retract any previous material from the Store.
Possibly you can still re-download from the list of your past purchases? However “Content may not be available for Redownload if that Content is no longer offered on our Services.” [1] There is no guarantee of availability forever (you agreed to that), and users should backup what they deem valuable.

Thats very helpful info. Guess it pays to read the small print.
Ive never backed up any of my music. I always listen to it on my phone only so never thought I’d need to do it. Especially with everything automatically being backed up to the cloud.
