System storage taking too much space

As soon as I updated to iOS 12.4. System storage and others taking too much space. So I think apple is forcing the people to buy new devices by slowing the device and by filling the space of iphone artificially. So I prefer going back by to android. Really feeling sorry to say these words...

Is it normal for iOS and System Data to take up this much space on my iPhone? iOS takes up 9.01 GB and 'System Data' 8.75 GB on my iPhone 12 running iOS 16.3.1 My local storage is only 64 GB, so this takes up almost 30% of my space. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to reduce the iOS and system data storage requirements?

Updates take too much storage? Do you guys think one day the updates will take too much storage? I know right now 7.54gb vs 64gb isn’t a lot but if a person keeps updating will it slowly fill up to too much? I know this probably is a dumb question so I’m sorry. Just like to ask people who understand smart phones, updates, and storage better than me about this stuff. If you’re able to explain if it will take up too much space years away that would be great ☺️❤️
