intermittently cannot hear callers and they can't hear me iphone xs
I have this issue where intermittently cannot hear callers and they can't hear me iphone xs. THe issue is resolved after a reboot but happens again a few days later. iOS 12.4 and updated to 12.4.1 and issue persists.
Wi-fi calling might be the issue as only so far has occured at home where cellular reception is poor -but other family members with same phone report no issue
WhatsApp calls work fine when the issue occurs - so only affects the phone app
Apple watch is also affected by the same issue when it occurs.
I took it to the apple store and they hardware diagnostics check was fine and they refused to help any further (actually the worst experience I've ever had with apple product (esp < 1 year old) where normally the geniuses are really friendly at Victoria Gardens)
Erase content and settings didn't fix
Going to try a DFU restore and if it still fails try another apple store.
