I found a workaround until Apple corrects the bug.
Untinstall the app and reinstall it.
Reopen the app and when the app asks you if you want to save/register the password, answer yes. The app will crash again but next time you open it, it won’t.
The bug seems to be in the password handling by the app.
IOS 13.2 did not solved the problem. The app starts up, but after entering your login and password, the app crashes. Tried reinstalling the app On my iPhone 6s Plus, but that’s did not help. Luckily the app still works on Windows and the Mac
Just to reiterate, if you had a working network, don’t change it. All resetting and application deletions are done on the affected device ie, iPhone, iPad etc. You must delete the Airport Utility, then do reset of the Network settings. Please note that my network display was not correct, no dotted lines indicating an extended network and inability to login to the utility. Attempted log in resulted in an immediate ejection from the utility. This is the last I will write on this problem.
Removing the App from the device and reinstalling it solved the issue for me on both iOS and iPadOS.
Try delete and re-install from App Store
Update to 13.1.1,reinstal app, aaaand it still crash after enter password🤦🏽♂️iPhone Xr.
it needs to be reported to Apple Support directly. Having them file it will hopefully get a change to the Airport Utility
Delete the Airport utility app from your iPhone then re-install. Then reboot your iPhone. That should fix your issue.
I did turned off scanner and all on that page. It worked momentarily. Unlocked, then I went to my second Airport (they are linked) then it went back to previous behavior. I believe this is a bug....
You have log back in to your network, after the reset. It removes all network settings. It will not change settings on the network devices ie airports. That can only be done by access to them directly. To factors are at play. Removing airport utility and the reset to clear out extraneous setups data.
Since they are new, then Apple will support you. I initially used the online support. Which great, though first level could figure it out. After which, they arranged for a call back the next day, which came at the exact time arranged. Next level moved me to Airport support, and that person nailed it. So best of luck, I am sure there may be a missing link in the process. Regards and good luck.
It seems to only happen when you have certain airport devices on the network or certain configs. If I setup a simple network with one airport device the app no longer crashes. Apple please help.
Click the "Contact Support" link that you see in the upper right corner of this web page.
I had the same problem on both iOS 13.0 & 13.1. I just now deleted the app from my iPhone XR, then re-installed, and it appears to be working fine.
