Missing pop3 email sent folder at IOS13

I just updated to IOS13 and now my sent folder POP3 email account disappeared. Now only showing and inbox and drafts folder. Anyone experiencing this problem? Any idea how to get it back? Hope Apple fix this quick as it’s obviously IOS13 issue!

I have the same problem. Also no trash folder which means I cannot undelete messages I deleted by mistake. I found a message that I deleted from my POP account in the 'All Bins' folder and tried to restore it. Not possible!! This is bad!!! Please fix this soon!

Mikey, I am talking about an iPhone 6S, not an iPad.

There was not much in my POP3 mail account, the few messages I had were kept after the upgrade from IOS 13.1.3 to 13.2 (please do not take this as guarantee for your situation).

I also believe it is standard that the IOS mail app does not delete POP3 message on the server, in other words: your received mails should stay on the server until you delete them in an other way.

Hi again Wouter. My advanced settings weren’t affected and it didn’t matter really because once the emails have been downloaded to the phone they stay there forever even if the originals are deleted from the server. That’s how POP email works. IMAP is different. If you delete an email from one device, it gets deleted from all associated devices.

The trick of creating an email with a photo attachment but saving it as a draft instead of actually sending it, seems to have worked for me. I’ve shut down the mail app and reopened it, and it still seems to be working. Thank you so much.

I’m still missing the old drafts that were sitting in the draft folder prior to ios13 though.

Logging the issue with apple is on my list of things to do.

I have had a case open since ios13 was released. After MANY frustrating calls, logs off my phone etc, I have just had a reply form a senior Apple guy in Australia that Apple are no longer supporting POP and I should migrate to IMAP !!!!

RIDICULOUS...I HAVE BEEN USING POP FOR YEARS and now I get this response?!

Disgusting!!!

I have a 6S as well & waited until 13.2.3 to update. I have 2 POP email accounts on my mail app, and my sent folders, as well as emails within the folders, disappeared. I’ve called AppleCare, and I’ve been told to call Earthlink (good luck), reset or restore.

I’ve read the forum suggestions, tried some of the suggestions without success. I can’t risk losing anymore folders. Does anyone have a sure fire solution to this problem?

In the meantime, APPLE ENGINEERS, FIX THE iOS!!!

It’s not the hardware or POP, it’s the update to 13 that has created this problem.

unfortunately Apple engineers dont read this thread.. you would need to, as we all need to, complain directly to apple... this is the iOS and their failure to fix POP3 issues... ongoing and destructive! ... i switched to iMAP which solved the issue for me.. but iMAP is not for everyone.. completely unnecessary ..they should NEVER have released iOS with this serious problem .. good luck
