Missing pop3 email sent folder at IOS13

i walked this thru with both apple and provider... extensive... changed to imap and reloaded iOS13... 'no change' ...settings same imap as on my other iphone... that one works (not iO13) . and the 11pro doesnt... will sit down with devices and apple tomorrow and try to make this work...... stumped.

re: iOS13 email pop3 and imap issues ... back to apple store, rather than do the workaround .i returned phone and replaced with a new same 11pro .. installed email ..everything is working! could it be hardware? ... dunno but no issues so far with a new phone.. explained issues had on first phone with iOS13 to apple..they denied all issues.. :( ..so,new phone ok.. i dont know what this is about.

yes... but then it is an erratic issue, some phones work ok...perhaps a corrupt iOS download..but we reloaded the OS and still no change.. its a puzzlement. there are issues, apple needs to address...they seem not to be aware.

How do you roll back to previous IOS update? How do you delete or uninstall 13.1.2 which caused all the sent and draft folder problems? I have tried all the usual fixes suggested here and still don’t have my sent history or all the drafts I’ve saved, I need them! Sent folder is there and drafts folder is there, but the contents are not there, and that’s unacceptable!

I know Apple does not look at the forum to find bugs and I have already submitted a bug report after discovering the issue. I disagree that it is of no use to discuss. It is helpful to know whether it is a common issue or issue specific to one person. Some temporal work around could be helpful.

Still the draft folder is empty with iOS 13.1.3, apparently they don't want us to use pop3 mail or they don't interested to fix this. However for are that use pop3 mail this is important. I wish I could go back to version 12 and I don't give a **** for dark version and other similar *********.

The drafts not Saving is the main problem. First, I lost all my drafts which were important when I did the update. Secondly, it will still not save a NEW draft. I also have an All Drafts folder now which I didn’t have before but nothing will save to that either. Drafts just won’t save at all.

Most probably this story with saving the photo is a joke of someone and not real. the problem is that there is an error somewhere in the code and the draft emails are disappearing, this can not be changed with photos or other similar jokes, only maybe with a new update of the program this can be solved.

I had 10,500+ emails and yesterday I was trying to search for something that should have been between April and June but it was gone. I found it odd, today I looked and realized I have only 3700 emails. How do I get these back? ASAP this is a huge issue.

But not the old drafts or sent items, right? I understand everyone's explanations about the limitations on POP accounts, but this has never happened to me before in any ios update. So what's special about this one?

I understand. However to be accurate definitely not ALL users are able to get sent folders back. I got trash back but no sent. And I am informing Apple support. Just wanted to provide clarity that the previously mentioned steps do NOT fix sent items for everyone.

I'm having the same issue as everyone else but on v13.1.3 and have missing folders (Sent, Trash and Drafts in some) POP accounts.

Agree with all, this is a real issue - especially for sent mail that I need to reference. Any idea on when it will be resolved or how to fix myself?

When you installed ios13.2 did you lose any old inbox emails? I lost most of them with iOS 13 and now with 13.2 I had about 400 in my inbox before and 190 afterwards. So now I’m scared to update my iPad Pro in case I lose my inbox emails. I also believe that people who upgraded to Catalina on their IMac also lost saved inbox POP emails.

Mikey, I am talking about an iPhone 6S, not an iPad.

There was not much in my POP3 mail account, the few messages I had were kept after the upgrade from IOS 13.1.3 to 13.2 (please do not take this as guarantee for your situation).

I also believe it is standard that the IOS mail app does not delete POP3 message on the server, in other words: your received mails should stay on the server until you delete them in an other way.

I noticed that the Advanced settings are back in the POP account setting (to my strong believe this was at least partly missing in IOS13.0 / 13.1).

In the Advanced POP3 account settings you can specify to delete mail messages from the server or not.
