Did that and will continue to report what's happening until a fix is provided.
Since my original post, I upgraded to 13.2.2 but like most others, relief is either temporary or the problem still persists. Having tried 13.2.2 for a few days now, here is what I've experienced:
- sent items still appear twice
- I've seen more sync issues between my Outlook/Exchange Server 2016 mail account and the Mail app on my iPhone and iPad Pro to the point where a message that gets deleted on one device orphans on the other, and the only way to get rid of the orphan message is to delete and re-add the account on the device with the orphaned message. Happens about once every 3-4 days. What a royal pain to say the least.
- Have to delete some emails twice but less frequently it seems.
- After reading the first message, the Unread indicator disappears after a few seconds automatically. Deleting the email then works the first time. When the next message appears, the Unread indicator does not disappear until you physical touch the screen in some way. Then delete works (usually once) but not always (3 times out of 5 I would say).
NONE of this behaviour existed prior to iOS 13.
I've had to delete and re-add my Exchange account on my iPhone and/or iPad 3x over the past week to remove messages that won't delete despite the fact they are 100% gone from the Inbox on my Outlook account.
All in the name of progress ...
