Ok, after waiting and waiting....and a little more waiting...I gave up. Did a full DFU restore and it worked perfectly from then. I have a working iPhone 11 Pro! Thank goodness I did a full backup before then.

I had this issue, fixed it with a forced DFU mode and reinstall software from Mac, the second time the iCloud backup took 2 minutes.

use this guide to put the phone in DFU mode and do a full restore it should work after that

Had this issue since about 2PM PST yesterday! I finally got it resolved by entering Recovery Mode and choosing to update the software from there. So relieved, but very frustrating!

I was able to resolve the issue by doing the DFU restore... after white screen for 18 hours... (My backup was also on my mac).

I tried an update in DFU, didn’t work for me. Had to do a restore to get it working

did you put your phone in DFU mode or just click restore in iTunes? restore didn't work for me but full DFU mode did

Yes, I got it to work too!! I’m so happy! Thought I would have to make a trip to Apple store, mess around with a new phone, have the same problem all over again (potentially), etc. DFU restore works!

https://www.apple.com/shop/help/returns_refund If all else goes wrong, even when trying to get this thing fixed through the Apple Store, the last decent option then would be to exchange your iPhone for another one, or just simply refund your money (if you purchased your iPhone from Apple directly). Apple gives a 14 day policy for return/exchange. Even though this would take days to weeks or even months due to this iPhone 11 Pro Max, well, being like any new iPhone and unavailable to ship for any new buyers for at least a month, and if this thing still isn’t getting fixed, then better late than never buddy. Sorry about your situation nevertheless.
