iOS 13 audio cuts out

Anyone else experiencing this? I am playing music from the music app and when I try to launch new apps or work in other apps, my phone’s audio output drops a few times before returning to normal. Also, audio sounds much louder in my headphones. At first, I thought this was an improvement but now it is annoying.

Had the same issue, sound cuts in and out I keep having my music go silent but the song keeps playing, even when I press on a song, I had to wait a few seconds for it to start playing.

Just update to IOS 13.6 and the problem has been solved.

Apple should be more careful about updating without observing problems that may cause to several Apple designed apps.

I’m having this problem and I thought that It was because I had not updated my software then I pinpointed it to the amazon app opening and closing because that is the only consistent failure I can find. I thought that it was a new Bluetooth speaker that I just bought and almost returned, but happened again when I was listening through my phone. I know that opening the Amazon app and closing the Amazon app will cut my audio off and I have tried everything from resetting my phone to deleting the app, went through my phone settings, I don’t know what makes it cut out randomly yet. This just started about a week ago. Any help?

I’m glad to finally find others having this issue. Yes, indeed, it started with the update. I have had the sound cut out on Apple Music as well as Spotify, Calm Radio, Primephonic and Idagio. They all started to act up after the update. The sound stops. Sometimes it restarts on its own. Sometimes I have to force close the app and start over, but I lose my place and end up hearing repeats of songs I just heard. I have faith that Apple will correct this. The only question is how long are we going to have to deal with this?

Get this fixed. You’ve had months to work on it. I was dodging updating because of these bugs but my phone mysteriously updated a few nights ago while I was asleep and now this phone sucks. Audio cuts out every 20 seconds or so. Email doesn’t always come through and sometimes I’ll have to restart the phone to get it to work. The volume control lags and there is also a lag when trying to play songs and videos. This iPhone sucks now. Get it fixed.

I'm having audio issues as well. I just bought the new iPhone 11 Pro Max about a month ago and have recently updated it to the latest iOS 13.4.1.

All my music has been downloaded and/or synced to my iPhone. Most of my music is from iTunes/Music purchases, and some is ripped from CDs from a long time ago (which doesn't factor into the problem). So, I have to sync via USB or over WiFi from my iMac Retina 5K to get my entire library onto my phone.

When listening to music on the iPhone, every 7th or 8th song will cut out with about a minute left, and yet the song continues to play when I view the player interface on the lock screen or within the Music app. I compared the same song to my iMac's Music library and played it back -- it plays perfectly all the way through.

So this is an issue with the Music app on my iPhone. And as others have stated, I'm not willing to reset my phone to factory settings and lose an entire day of rebuilding it just to get the audio to play back correctly. I say that, and yet if it's the only solution then I'll probably have to sac up and do it. Ugh.

FYI my wife has the exact same problem on her new iPhone 11.

I feel like posting this in the community is a waste of time, but take comfort in knowing the problem exists for other users. I'm going to call apple support right now and see if a "Genius" can recommend something other than a factory reset.

Wish me luck.

I've been having this problem since approximately the end of June 2020. I walk outdoors listening to audio books, and I thought the phone had become overly sensitive to motion. But after reading many comments, it might also be environmental noise. If I hold the phone in my hand instead of putting it in a pocket, the sound is more consistent--but I don't want to have to hold the phone in my hand for an hour or more. I'm using wired non-Apple ear buds.
