Anyone else experiencing this? I am playing music from the music app and when I try to launch new apps or work in other apps, my phone’s audio output drops a few times before returning to normal. Also, audio sounds much louder in my headphones. At first, I thought this was an improvement but now it is annoying.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, restarting my phone and force quitting has not resolved the issue. I haven’t experienced it without using headphones but this has only been an issue since I updated to iOS 13. The volume situation has also remained the same. There are a few other bugs I should mention. When I press on a song, I have to wait a few seconds for it to start playing, whereas in iOS 12, the song immediately started. Also, the volume control button used to be remarkably smooth when I would drag it with my finger, but now it is occasionally unresponsive and stiff.
I’m sorry to report so many issues but I was highly impressed with how my phone was working before and now it is behaving rather oddly.

I'm not returning my phone back to factory settings because of a problem with an iOS update.

I have this same issue. Whenever I get mail or messages the sound drops for about 30 seconds and can’t be changed through the volume buttons.
I am still seeing this behaviour on my iPhone now. When are apple likely to be fixing this issue?!

Not only is my audio screwed now my icons just disappear on my iPhone. The app is still there when you hit the empty space. Jobs must be rolling in his grave.
I agree. I have settings not to update and it did it anyway!! This phone sucks now and after 25 years of using Apple products I am now looking at other brands.
Audio skipping after iOS 13.3.1 update. Apple please fix this issue. I can not listen to anything on my iPhone 8 because of this annoying bug. Help asap

Audio skipping has stopped being an issue. 24 hours after update to iOS 13.3.1 audio skipping disappeared. It’s a mystery but one that I’m so thankful it corrected itself.
Upgraded to 13.3.1 and problem appears to be resolved.
Same problem still occurs on 13.3.1 updates
Agreed we should not have to factory reset and restore our phones to fix apples iOS issue!!! Mine is doing the same thing and it’s really starting to **** me off due to how annoying it is!
I have a similar issue. Any video, about 5-10 seconds after is starts, the audio goes out. Video remains playing. iPhone 8, most up-to-date iOS.
Everytime I watch something and I turn up the volume audio cuts.
When listening to Spotify on my iPhone the music will just cut out for no reason. I do not have this problem when listening on my iPad.
