Anyone else experiencing this? I am playing music from the music app and when I try to launch new apps or work in other apps, my phone’s audio output drops a few times before returning to normal. Also, audio sounds much louder in my headphones. At first, I thought this was an improvement but now it is annoying.

Had the same issue, sound cuts in and out I keep having my music go silent but the song keeps playing, even when I press on a song, I had to wait a few seconds for it to start playing.
Just update to IOS 13.6 and the problem has been solved.
Apple should be more careful about updating without observing problems that may cause to several Apple designed apps.
Did this dedede really just send different tutorials on how to restart and erase his phone....... in response to an issue that causes volume to drop on its own? Apple needs to get their ****** **** straight
The song sort of works now but now it does other weird stuff. When I try post a message it goes to the options of invisible ink, bang etc. and won’t let me send the message without selecting one then Still won’t send goes back to the options. Icons just disappear although the app is still there when you tap the space (invisible app icons). Sometimes it just goes blank screen and i have to reset. After 30 years of using Apple products you have now lost me as a customer. I will not purchase another iPhone. And that might go for other Apple products as well. It was fun while it lasted.
I have experienced this issue as well. Apparently it is a very repeatable and wide-spread bug. I used to love the quality of iOS releases but they have been going steadily down hill the past few years. :-(
I am also having the similar issues. Whenever I am on FaceTime with anyone and my charger is in, the audio goes in and out. I have the iPhone 11and my friend who also has the 11 has been experiencing the same thing.
Just bought an iPhone 11 three weeks ago. This week when I record videos the sound drops very low after a few minutes. I need this for recording videos for the college classes I am teaching. I tried some solutions found on the internet and none of them worked, including turning off bluetooth. I need this fixed! Please don't let me down Apple, I'm one of your biggest fans, since 1986. Other people have complained about this sort of issue here but I have not seen a solution. Are you guys working on this? Thanks!
It’s 2nd of May 2020 and I am still having the same problem. Trying to get audio output from my iphoneX using the lightning to 3.5mm audio cable, after around 30 secs the audio stops and the phone displays a warning like “the accessory is not supported by this Iphone”.
I mean we are at 2020 and unable to output audio using an IPhoneX.. are we back to the 90s ??
Original poster and I’m still experiencing the issue. There have been a ton of iOS updates since September and this hasn’t been fixed. I guarantee the only way to have it fixed is to buy a new phone. Isn’t that nice? I know the coronavirus is delaying everything but still.
My iPhone XR is not working properly since the 13.4 download. I do karaoke and I can hear the music but my voice won’t come through. So frustrating. These phones are not cheap. Apple needs to do something about this. I’ve always had iPhone through Verizon but I’m looking past iPhone if they don’t fix this problem soon. I also want reimbursed for some of the cost of the phone since it still has a warranty.
I contacted Apple and they sent me a loner and it did the same thing . I just kept mine because I knew I bought it new. Mine is dropping calls now. When I sent back the other phone I told them what I wanted to say. It’s a shame you spend that for a phone that you think will last for a few years. Mine is just a year old. I’m so sick of Apple thinking about changing.
I am having the same problem with the audio fading in the middle of all audio activities- podcasts, music, etc. It seems to respond to any change in surrounding sounds. So, if I turn the water on, or walk outside, or someone speaks in the room the audio fades out and then 5 seconds later it comes back. This is suboptimal UX. Rebooting does not help. Is there a setting I can change to fix this?
What is the purpose of this discussion thread. Obviously no support from a knowledgeable person from Apple. Those first official replies were horrific. I’m guessing off shore. We have to hope that some super smart user figures it out. I’m going to take a wild stab. Did these last updates fix the hack vulnerability? ;-p
I started the thread in hopes that I’d get a quick fix shortly after but as soon as they told me to factory reset my phone, I was like “nah”. I did an update and now I have to take all my stuff out and put it all back in? I have a life.
iTunes player is consistently dropping audio (several seconds of silence interrupts the song) from just about every song in my extensive playlist. All songs were purchased at iTunes store.
Why?? Please correct this malfunction.
It seems this problem with the iTunes player has been going on for a few years and yet no human being from Apple has stepped up to correct or communicate about this glitch in their system. We are all being ignored...?
Where are the human beings working at Apple? Have they all be turned into a programmed algorithm?
