iOS 13 Photos app crash

Hello!

I’ve just updated my iPhone 8 Plus to iOS 13 and I’m experiencing a very nasty issue when I’m scrolling fast through my photo library or I’m pressing at the top of the screen, for instantly scrolling to the oldest photo. I have approximately 13.000 photos and videos and the app just crashes and closes, showing the home screen.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have turned off and on the phone and then deleted and reinstalled the app, but neither of those fixed the problem. Unfortunately, whenever I close the app, I run into this issue again. More often than not, the photos app does NOT open. Behavior: After tapping the photos app, the app will look like it opens, but then disappears. I can double tap the home button and see it is running, but whenever I try to switch to it, it closes. Sometimes the app doesn't open at all and nothing shows up when I double tap the home button. I get the same behavior when trying to open the app from the search screen.

iOS 13 - “Photos” app problem - shutdown app I just updated to iOS 13 and when I am entering the photos application and try to scroll fast and very fast, the application it’s shutting down for no reason. I tried in dark mode and light mode also this and it’s doing the same thing over and over again. Also, I discovered that it happens only in 3 pictures per row and one per row. Also I did restarted twice my iPhone 8 Plus. I filmed everything but I cannot upload a video or I don’t know how..

Photos app Ever since I updated to IOS16 my photos app crashes every time I go on and it makes my whole phone slow and overheat. Once the app crashes I’m unable to shut down my phone or go into other apps.

I'm using iPhone 8 Plus having the same issues as well. it get crash when scroll photos quickly and fine when scroll slowly, finger cross Apple can fix this in iOS 13.1 or anyone have solution here.

Hi, I am experiencing the same. It irritates as we have to go back to the album and scroll very slowly and then reach out to the photo we need.

I have 25,000 and it happened to me too! Never had this problem on 12.1.2. I hope they fix this

Same issue, photos keeps crashing everytime I click the top of my screen to get to my top photo and when I scroll quickly upwards

Same problem on iPhone X with iOS 13. Even when I scroll fast while trying to attach a photo (eg on Facebook messenger) it crashes.

13.1.2 photos app STILL crashes when saving edits to a video. iPhone 8, 256gb lots of storage open

About editing videos, it takes ages since updating to iOS 13/13.1.2 to save the new clip. Before iOS 13 this was done almost instantly.
