Get "Paired Apple watch is not responding" message. Message suggests putting watch on charger (it is there!), making sure Airplane mode is not enabled (it isn't) and reconnecting watch and phone (I have). Have uninstalled and reinstalled Audible, etc., etc. Nothing seems to work. Watch indicates that it is connected to the phone and other things work okay.

This works! Seems that the app is somehow not recognising that the audio book is being synchronised. Once it is done although no progress was recognised, the book is finally synchronised to the watch which took about 10-15 minutes. The message disappeared and it was done. Just give it some time...
I had the same problem last week. What worked for me: turn off Bluetooth on iPhone, make sure iPhone and Watch are on the same WiFi network, and then start syncing again. Good luck.
