Ever since I downloaded iOS 13 it wont save as a PNG anymore

I run a business where I use my phone to save png photos(photos with transparent background). Ever since I downloaded IOS 13 it wont save as a png anymore. It will fill in what was supposed to be a transparent background with a white background. I am now loosing business and I do not know what to do. (If someone wants to know which app I am talking about that I use it is Photoshop Mix) Please release a revised update that solves this problem.(Had no problems before update.)

I am facing the same problem. Choose an image editor application which can import image from Dropbox or any other source than your camera roll. It will keep the transparency if you import the images from another source.

Unfortunately transparent PNGs getting white background when it saved to camera roll.

Hey! I’m an also having the same issues. I don’t know how you would be able to do this other than using a laptop as an alternative, I am currently trying to figure this out as well. It is something that definitely has to be fixed within the next update. I play video games so I post some of them on my social media and edit picture before I do so. When this update came, that ability was wiped away from me, so now I cannot do it as quickly and efficiently as I use to do. Now I have to use my laptop with makes the process harder than need be.

My apology For butting in however I have posted here.

when you ask the person to post the png through here. Question; are thinking or it is the size? I thought someone mentioned that? I have two png I just randomly saved one shows the white background (not transparent) the other one shows it’s transparent (so far). Sometimes After a few mins it becomes not transparent or when added to a still image etc.. it will show transparent but after a few seconds the white background show up but not all of them do. Can you help me and others what this is or am I doing something wrong? Thank you

Sorry Jamie I'm not really understanding your situation up there.

I can't speak for how Canva works (never used it), but I'm imagining you're downloading a jpg and removing background in Canva. I can't speak to how to export these pics after you edit them in canva or how to remove their background. It looks like a bug in Canva about how it handles removing backgrounds.

perhaps it could be I’m not sure though I’ll have to check in the app when was the last update. Also in my reply I forgot a few words.

note: since I’ve own any iOS back in 2011 to current 8+ I’ve never had issues with png(no background), but After the recent update 14.01 (not saying it’s the cause just giving a time frame) is when it was doing this

also it does the same thing in other photo editor, it just happens to all photo editors. I don’t know how to fix it the settings because I think that’s where I think is there. Base on previous messages this appears to happen after certain updates. And there’s a newer update I haven’t update it I will later maybe that will resolve the issue, I don’t know how to set it to be both jpg and png in the settings. Thank you for your time and help..

Hi. First I need to say I’m getting confused who I’m replying to, the one I thought was replied to the wrong person it actually was the correct person. I’m sorry for the confusion to you and Databhi. Moving on forward

this is a snapshot of my photo album as you you can see one is white background the other two are not, and it’s the same photo, some will work and some won’t. Now I’m thinking it’s not Canva having a bug, it’s definitely related in the settings I just don’t know which is the one to choose or whatever to save it as transparent. But if the image (the png) is too small it won’t keep the transparent, if I said that right. As mentioned before it occurred after the download version 14.01

Hi. I truly understand to make the png bigger if under 400x.

  1. question; is x is same as px?
  2. next question; if it doesn’t show up png when it was png before I saved it to phone photos. If I go to photo editor image size it comes non transparent which of course because in my photos it didn’t save it as transparent.
  3. next question; would Happen to know how I can keep it transparent background?. As you can see my snapshot of my album using the same photo, one is transparent, the other one is not. Please see snapshot when you get a chance.
  4. next question; I may be wrong however I think it’s in the settings, would you happen to know where it would be?, I did send a snapshot of that section but maybe I’m not in the right section?. Please see snapshot when you get a chance.
  5. next question; how to check what size it is before I save it or resize if too small before I save it?

If you or anyone else here can help me.

thank you
