My new iPhone 11 keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices

My new iPhone 11 keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices (happens both with Bose QC headset and Skoda car Bluetooth)

I did not see this behaviour on an iPhone X running IOS 13 beta.

Anyone having the same problem? Or even better: a solution?

(This question is about iPhone 11, but Apple apparently didn't take the time to update the "What device is this about"... )

SOLUTION

OK! I got Oscar at Apple. He is a big brain and has helped me FIX this!!

Here's the drill.

Connect iPhone 11 Pro to Macbook.

Backup to computer NOT to iCloud.

When backup is complete, restore software on the iPhone AS NEW. At this point do NOT restore data.

Once the phone has new software installed, BEFORE restoring data, on the car, forget the old Bluetooth connection and pair a new connection. Test calls. Mine works now where it was dropping 100% of incoming calls. Outgoing calls work as well.

Then go back to iTunes and restore data from the backup you just did a bit ago.

ENJOY!!!

Cudos to Oscar, Apple customer service wizard! (Previous TWO Apple reps told me there wasn't a problem with the phone, it was my car).

Iphone 11pro - Issues since day 1 regardless of IOS Version (Currently 13.3.1)

I'm getting frequent Bluetooth dropouts in my 2018 DMax ute.

I've noticed the Bluetooth signal strength continuously fluctuate between Minimum & Maximum signal (1 - 3 Bars).

Phone disconnects from car then reconnects after about 15 seconds.

This occurs randomly between 5 minute & 1 hour intervals for no apparent reason.

This issue never happened with previous Iphones 7s and Xs.

This cuts off phone calls & music streaming services

Have logged this issue with tech support, installed Bluetooth debugging profile, reset settings multiple times.

Still waiting for a fix!

Interestingly, I have had zero problems between my iPhone 11 Pro and an old "Amazon Basics" Bluetooth adapter that uses version 4.x, but huge problems with a Sharkk speaker that uses 4.x. (I can't seem to retrieve information on which version of BT 4 each uses.) It pairs right away but usually disconnects after 10 seconds or so, then successfully pairs again on its own, then disconnects, over and over. I've tried it on several occasions and it's intermittent; one time it didn't disconnect for an entire day. Extremely frustrating but glad it might be on Apple's radar.

I have an iPhone 11 pro max and when making a call with my platronics voyager legend it sometimes sounds like the other person is a robot then suddenly disconnects. I find that switching off the Bluetooth headset and then starting again is the only way to get it to work. This happens with virtually every call and is frustrating to say the least.

I never had an issue with my iPhone 8.

I should post an update. Initially I thought my bluetooth issue was fixed after the update. My iphone 11 pro is now working much better with my 2010 Porsch Panamera with update 13.2.2 however if I try to use Siri with my Bluetooth in the car it will disconnect but at least I can now make a phone call and listen to music in my car. Still not sure how Apple did not know there was a problem during beta testing prior to release of the Iphone 11.

That’s bizarre. I had this issue at first back in September, my iPhone 11 Pro kept disconnecting from my jeeps uconnect, but mine has been fixed since the initial update. I did set my up iPhone 11 Pro as a new phone rather than from a back up since I’ve had different issues with previous iPhone set ups. All in all though I haven’t had an issue since September.

I also have this issue with an older aftermarket Kenwood head unit where my iphone X had no issues with connectivity up until this past few days when i switched to the new phone. I have the 11 Pro Max and i already updated last night to iOS 13.1 and still has the issue.

I have tried rebooting the phone and head unit and re-pairing it but it won't stay connected after pairing. it will disconnect.

I thought the issue would be resolved with 13.1 but as of now i am unable to use my bluetooth in my car.

I also have aftermarket bluetooth headset i use at the gym and this had no issues as well as my apple watch.

I am having the same issue with my Iphone 11pro. I have updated software to newest version but can not make a phone call in my car without the bluetooth disconnecting. I can listen to music but as soon as I make a call the bluetooth drops. May be returning this phone as how can apple release a product that can't make a simple hands free call. Seems to be a car accident waiting to happen. I did speak with apple, they are aware of the problem but don't know how to fix it yet.
