My monthly challenges have disappeared from the Activity app

All the monthly challenge badges that I have complete so far this year have disappeared, as well as my current month’s progress, and one of the special challenge badges. All my workouts are still showing up though so an Apple store employee directed me here. Has that happened to anyone else? iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13.

So annoyed, just swapped from my iPhone 8 Plus to iPhone 11, created a backup prior to setting my new phone up to make sure I wouldn’t lose any data and upon setup of my iPhone 11 I have lost all my monthly challenges apart from June and August 2019 (I had every single one) and my September challenge which was near completion is also now gone!! I got my Apple Watch series 4 in December 2018. Ive also noticed upon comparison with my iPhone 8 Plus that some of the ‘workout’ badges display different ‘bests’ (the record is shown for differing amounts of calories on my new device, almost as though not all my workouts synced properly, further, both phones display different amount of move goal (200%, 300% and 400%) badges. I’m very confused and annoyed and I hope this gets fixed as I loved the awards page!!!!

I think your best guess will be accurate... I don’t expect them to fix this now. If the info was somehow in the cloud then perhaps, but I have a feeling there’s an element of locally stored data that has not been synced here!

Just some extra info - I used an iCloud backup, due to being on the upgrade programme I had to hand over my old device. My wife’s phone was destined to be sold after she’d collected her new one. So I performed a transfer “phone to phone” and all her data is there including her monthly challenges! She went from iPhone 8 to iPhone 11 Pro.

Think we’re the unfortunate ones who are goosed because of how we did our migration!

How did our migration not work? All I did was restore my iphone to a fresh start. All of my other information including the most recent data from the day showed back up. The Only thing missing is the monthly challenges and the different exercise badges. If the process of how a phone is migrated is how the badges get transferred then something is definitely wrong. The monthly challenges ever since I started from back in May of 2018 is gone all the way up till now. How did I do anything wrong if they took away not just this month's challenge but all of the monthly challenges. This is definitely an apple problem. I'm sorry I do not believe this is a user error, but rather an apple error.

Literally I noticed this today on my iPhone 8 Plus when I turned it on just out of interest! was gonna post about it tonight. I have achieved my September challenge on that phone but not on my iPhone 11. It’s clear that health data does sync over iCloud so the problem must be with the monthly challenge awards having difficulty syncing.

24.00 (12.00 pm) update local time in Italy:

With the end of September the challenge of October appeared to me. I opened the "Activitiy" app and magically all the monthly challenges completed at the end of 2018, and all those of 2019, came back. Including the September one that I completed today but that didn't appear anyway before now.

I hope this can help and I wish you come back as it happened to me.

Good luck to all.

On 2019-10-01 midnight (about 1 hour ago) all missing monthly challenge awards since October 2018 came back. At the same time, I was awarded the September 2019 challenge and given a new October 2019 challenge.

I guess the reason for also getting the September 2019 challenge is that I continued with it's progress as if it was still there when it first disappeared.

Everything OK again for me. Closing the ticket with Apple.

Had the same issue after unpairing and pairing again my Watch S3 when I switched to iPhone 11 from iPhone 7.

Fortunately yesterday I solved the issue with software update on both devices (13.1.2 and 6.0.1). It took a couple of restarts also after the updates, but now all of my previously missing achievements are back!

I hope it would solve the issue also for others.
