Open a mime attachment?

Coincidentally I received a MIME file today through email and was able to replicate your problem. It is strange that iPad can no longer preview this file. I have submitted a bug report to Apple and I highly encourage you to submit one as well. In the meantime checkout the Outlook application from the App Store. It should allow you to open these kinds of files for the time being.

This appears to be a bug in the newly released IOS 13.

Until Apple fix it, I have successfully used the Eml Viewer app as a temporary solution. That works fine. (Unfortunately it’s not free, though)

I have the exact same issue. Since updating to iOS13 (and all subsequent patches), viewing a mime attachment in mail no longer works. Only the ‘sharing’ action menu displays. Verified this same issue on a colleague’s iPhone, also recently updated to iOS13+. Add this to the plethora of other bugs in this major update to iOS. Poorest quality release from Apple.

Thank you , downloaded outlook from teh app store on my phone and all seems ok . the mime files now appear in outlook as eml files that I can open. I was contemplating having to do a roll back to an earlier version but this has solved the issue for the moment.

Work related. Email sender always send as mime.2kb attachment and mail app always opened as it is past 6 years, until ios13.1.

Where did you receive the attachment?

Broken for me as well after upgrading to IOS 13

lets hope for the best in next update.

My workaround was to install the Outlook app. Not ideal, but better than nothing until Apple fixes this.

I have this problem and is a major pain. Please fix it.
