iMovie for Mac 10.1.12 won't show my iTunes library so that I can use my music in movie soundtrack. I see the option of iTunes and Soundtracks. Soundtrack display but my iTunes library does not. Also, Garageband doesn't show as an audio option. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.6

Songs stored in the cloud will not appear in the iTunes item in the iMovie sidebar. They need to be downloaded to the iTunes library first. Is this perhaps your situation?
Also Apple Music will not appear.

Rich839. THAT WAS IT!!! I did a force quit again and then downloaded some of my music from iCloud and then restarted iMovie...and there they were. Because all of my music was in iCloud (and not on my computer) iMovie must have been searching and searching and searching for my songs...not to be found.

Thanks Rich839. I think something else is going on. Last night, I restarted my MBA (to clear the memory) and then started iMovie and selected audio. Then the spinning wheel started and the loading bar appeared saying it loading my movie. I let it go on for a while (thinking it might be trying to pull in my iTunes library). I finally went to bed. This morning, it was still "loading" (see screenshot). I did a force quit on iMovie and then restarted it. I get the same "loading". Does it make any difference whether iTunes is running while iMovie is trying to load? Any thoughts are appreciated. I'm putting this movie together for a group presentation tomorrow morning.
